Helping to support the wellbeing of our local NHS staff

We recently toured the new wellbeing spaces at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, funded in part by our donation to the Bart’s Charity Covid-Emergency Appeal.

In April 2020, Tate & Lyle Sugars donated £25,000 to Bart’s Charity Covid-Emergency Appeal on behalf of our colleagues to support our local frontline NHS workers battling the pandemic. At the time, colleagues in our two factories in east London were working flat out to keep the nation fed and knew they could rely on their local Newham hospital to look after them. We hoped our donation would help make the lives of the NHS workers a little better while they were working long and tough hours away from home.

Our donation contributed to improving staff environments such as staff rooms, changing and shower rooms, cycle storage and wellbeing hubs which help support the long-term wellbeing of NHS staff.
